Kearny Mesa Planning Group

 The Kearny Mesa Planning Group is the recognized group of citizens that provides recommendations to the City Council, Planning Commission and City Staff on matters relating to land use, zoning, traffic, public facilities and aesthetisc in the Kearny Mesa area.  Membership is free and open to any Kearny Mesa resident, property owner, business owner, lessee or the representatives of such property owner, business owner or leesse.  Contact the Chair or Vice Chair/Secretary for a membership application or for additional information.  The group's email addresss is kearnymesaplanninggroup@yahoo.com.

  The planning group is governed by 16 elected members of the community whose actions constitute the official positions of the planning group.  These elected community members, called the elected "Planning Group" act as sort of a "board of directors".  One half, (8 members) are elected each year by the community at the March Annual Meeting.  These elected "Planning Group" members serve for a two year term beginning with the April Meeting.
